1445076 Diacetoxybutene MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 11 March 1975 [12 March 1974] 10077/75 Heading C2C In the preparation of diacetoxybutene by reacting butadiene, acetic acid and oxygen in the presence of palladium or palladium-containing catalyst the mixture is distilled in a tower/s, the temperature/s at the bottom of which is/are kept below 190‹ C. by controlling the pressure. One tower may be for the separation of water and acetic acid, another for the separation of the isomers, and a third for the separation of high boiling materials.
