1444511 Windscreen wiper harness TRICOFOLBERTH Ltd 5 Feb 1974 [8 Feb 1973 22 May 1973] 24417/73 and 822/74 Divided out of 1414304 Heading A4F A windscreen wiper harness comprises two levers 6, 8 pivoted together, each lever having a major part lying on a respective side of the pivotal axis yy and a tail 34 which extends, on a respective side of the longitudinal axis of a lever, to the opposite side of the pivotal axis yy. A spring, which may be coiled, as shown, or a leaf-spring acts upon the tails to urge the levers 6, 8 in opposite directions. The levers 6, 8 may pivot about a pin 14 which may have an extension for a wiper arm connector (as shown), or about a sleeve, Fig. 8, (not shown) which encloses a pin, the sleeve being provided with an aperture through which the spring extends to engage a groove in the pin. The connector may straddle the harness and make a bayonet connection with the wiper arm. The tails may have flat or bent extremities and the levers 6, 8 may be identical or have differing lengths.
