Abstract

1442986 Windscreen wipers COMPAGNIE CELS S A 3 Sept 1973 [8 Sept 1972] 41933/72 Heading A4F The wiping surface of a windscreen wiper blade is shaped so that part of the water on a screen is scooped up and swept clear and part spread over the surface as a film, the blade having portions 12, 13, 32, 33 to either side of a central rib 17 which form a wedge of water beneath them as they advance across the screen. The blade may have a flat 11 or convex 16 extremity, as shown, or be simple sector shape in section, Fig. 1 (not shown). Portions 23, 24 act as stops for ribs 19, 20 during flexing of the blade in use, Fig. 4.
