Abstract

1442779 Wrapping apparatus GD SpA 5 Dec 1973 [5 March 1973] 56414/73 Heading B8C Apparatus for the removal of products from a wrapping apparatus A comprises means 4, 5 for transporting the products along a path 3 intermittently in synchronization with the intermittent motion of the wrapping apparatus and means (18, 19) for detecting the absence of a product at the entry to the path, and arrangedto halt the transporting means 4, 5 in the absence of a product. A product is lifted out of a multicompartment wheel 1 by a member 34 and pushed by a pusher 35 on to the start of the path. A retainer 20 retracts to enable another pusher 36 to urge the product against the line of products arranged along the path. The means 4, 5 comprises a pair of belts at the side of the path. A plate 13 above the path urges the products against a heated plate 3a. Adjacent the belts there are devices (22-24) which check that the product has been properly wrapped and operate the flap of an rejection channel beside wheel 16 which removes the products from the end of the path. The detecting means (18, 19) may be a photo-electric device.
