Abstract

942,242. Wrapping machines. FR. HESSER MASCHINENFABRIK-A.G. June 29, 1962 [Oct. 19, 1961], No. 25014/62. Heading B8C. The leading article G<SP>1</SP> of a series of articles G to be wrapped which are delivered by a conveyer or a pusher member 17, Fig. 8 (not shown), is received on the top of a horizontal pusher member 3, as it pushes a previous article G<SP>11</SP> into a folding tube 5 or the like, the member 3 is then retracted and the leading article G<SP>1</SP> descends to be pushed in its turn by the vertical face 3<SP>1</SP> of the member 3 into the tube 5. As shown, a wrapper blank E is fed through a guideway 6 to be carried by the article G<SP>11</SP> into tube 5. The articles G on conveyer 1 are fed between guide rails 7, 8 until article G<SP>1</SP> engages stop 2. In a modification, Fig. 5, plate 3 is comb-shaped and meshes with grooves on a vertically movable plate 10. On retraction of plate 3, plate 10 is lowered to present the article 9<SP>1</SP> to the pushing surface of member 3.
