Abstract

1442155 Bath fittings HANS GROHE KG 5 July 1973 [10 July 1972 12 Feb 1973] 32140/73 Heading A4N [Also in Division F2] A device for operating an outlet valve 2, Fig. 1, of a bath comprises a cable 12 in a flexible sheath 11, the ends of the cable 12 being connected to sliders 8, 18 in respective guide tubes 7, 28, Fig. 2, flanged sleeves 15, 25 and cap nuts 17, 26 connectible to the guide tubes 7, 28 and a threaded end sleeve 22 on at least one end of the sheath 11, whereby the end sleeve 22 is adjustably located relative to its flanged sleeve 25 which has a corresponding thread. This adjustment compensates for relative movement between the cable 12 and the sheath 11 for different distances between the overflow device 30 and the outlet valve 2 in different installations. Longitudinal movement of the cable 12 by an eccentric 19 operates a valve lever 4 of the outlet valve 2. The cable 12 may be connected to the sliders 8, 18 by threaded sleeve 21 and a soldered-on nipple 20, or by a flanged threaded sleeve (37), Fig. 5 (not shown) and a nipple (36).
