Abstract

1441267 Buckles C J GOWLAND 26 Oct 1973 [8 Feb 1973] 6263/73 Heading E2A A buckle for securing a strap or bracelet has a lateral prong and hole engagement which is secured and released by a sliding cover member. In the form shown in Fig. 2a, strap ends 1, 3 have holes 10, 16a which receive fixed prongs 9, 16, and a sliding cover 6 prevents release. This cover is indexed in its middle position in which it fastens both ends by a plunger 12. The end of strap 3 passes through a slot 18, but this feature may be dispensed with (Figs. 4-6, not shown). In a modified form, Fig. 7, a bracelet 44 has a projecting tenon 43 which engages slots 42 and is secured by sliding cover 33.
