Abstract

1441019 Attaching yarn to bobbins RHONEPOULENC-TEXTILE 25 Sept 1973 [25 Sept 1972] 44921/73 Heading D1J A device, Fig. 3, for securing a yarn 9 to a rotatable yarn support 1 comprises an arm 3 secured at one end to the support 1 for rotation therewith, a polished part-spherical or substantially spherical surface 5 at the free end of the arm 3; and an elongate resilient member 6 adjacent to the arm 3, said resilient member being deformable under the effect of centrifugal force, Fig. 4, to grip the yarn 9 between itself and the arm 3. The member 6 may be a wire or a cylindrical rubber rod. The part-spherical surface 5 is at least 2.5mm in diameter.
