Abstract

1440578 Valves LUCAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 July 1973 [21 July 1972 23 Sept 1972] 34168/72 and 44128/72 Heading F2V A cylindrical closure member 17 with at least two openings co-operable with ports 12, 14 in a body of a valve and a second closure member 28 are normally held together by detent means 32 but are rotatable with respect to one another if the member 17 becomes jammed by dirt such that communication between ports 12 and 14 can be cut off by the second closure member. Communication is possible between inlet 12 and outlet 14 or 15 and between exhaust 13 and outlet 15 or 14 respectively.
