Abstract

1438681 Lubrication LUMATIC Ltd 2 July 1974 [11 July 1973] 33137/73 Heading F2A [Also in Division B1] A manifold 1 for a lubrication system has a gas inlet duct 2, two mixer chambers 34, and two oil inlet ducts 15, 16, each of substantially uniform cross-section over a major part of its length, the gas inlet duct 2 having two first portions 29 and two second portions 34, each second portion 34 being coaxial with its respective first portion 29 and having a crosssection substantially uniform but larger than that of the first portion 29 to form one of the mixer chambers 34 each first portion 29 intersecting one of the oil duets 15, 16, at a location 30 close to a blind end 33 of the oil duct, e.g. 15, and spaced from the connection between the first portion 29 and the second portion 34, the other end 35 of each second portion 34 constituting an outlet orifice of the respective mixer chamber. Each mixer chamber 34, outlet orifice and first portion 29 of the gas inlet duct may be contained in a removable mixer member, e.g. 22. Each oil inlet duct 15, 16, may contain a non-return valve 36, Fig. 3 (not shown). The embodiment shows the manifold block 1 having a gas inlet duct 2 supplying four pairs of mixer chambers via ducts 7, 8, 9 and 10, Fig. 2 (not shown), each pair of oil inlet ducts being supplied by a metering device 20 bolted to the manifold block 1.
