1437657 Pneumatic open-end spinning apparatus INSTYTUT WLOKIENICTWA 30 July 1974 [6 Feb 1974] 33531/74 Heading DID An open end spinning apparatus .has a stationary chamber 1 closed at one end by a movable barrier 2 through which is drilled a duct for discharge of yarn and the other end of which is entered with peripheral clearance by a pipe 5 for sucking off air, helical ducts 6 being provided between the inner wall of the chamber 1 and the outer wall of the pipe 5 to introduce air into the chamber, and a duct 4 for introducing raw material, the axis of the duct being either tangential to the chamber wall, Fig. 1 or coincident with the chamber axis, Fig. 3. The ducts 6 may come to the end of pipe 5 or may stop short of it, Fig. 2 (not shown). The lower end of the chamber may also be flared outwards, Fig. 4 (not shown).
