Abstract

1436664 Clocks SEIKO KOKI KK 8 May 1974 [9 May 1973] 20292/74 Heading G3T Light from a source 9 behind a clock dial 2 is caused to fall on the front surface 2b of the dial by means of a light conducting or reflecting member at least a portion of which is situated centrally in front of the dial. As shown the member is a twelve-sided reflector 8 formed integrally with the rear surface of a glass 3 to reflect light on to the dial indicia. Light is directed on to the reflector by a tube 7 with a condensing lens 10. The tube's rear end 7a is fixed to a plate 5 attached to the dial and the tube carries hand arbors 13, 14. In an alternative embodiment a light transmitting member (8a), Fig. 2 (not shown) is fitted in the front end of the tube 7 and has twelve lightconducting fingers (23).
