Abstract

1436579 Deep fat fryers H S COLLINGWOOD 17 Dec 1973 [7 June 1973] 27222/73 Heading A4D [Also in Division B1] A deep fat fryer comprises a cabinet 1 containing a frying basin 2 having a drainage outlet with valve 3, a settling tank 4 on which is detachably mounted a filter 8, the tank 4 having an outlet 6 in which is detachably mounted an overflow pipe 5, and a conduit 10 having a pump 9, connecting the outlet 6 with inlet 7 of basin 2. In use, used fat is drained from basin 2 through the filter into tank 4 where it is cooled by fat already present in the tank and where it is allowed to stand to settle out any sediment before it is pumped back to the inlet 7 of basin 2. To remove sediment from tank 4 a hose (not shown) is connected to inlet 7 and after removal of pipe 5 from tank 4, the sediment is pumped through the conduit 10 and hose to a suitable container.
