1436398 Treating sludge VEREINIGTE KESSELWERKE AG 14 Dec 1973 [14 May 1973] 58168/73 Heading C1C A plant for the heat treatment of sludge, e.g. sewage sludge, comprises a high pressure pump through which the sludge is pumped to a heat exchanger for heating incoming sludge utilizing heat from treated sludge and thence to a reactor for treating the sludge at elevated temperature and pressure, wherein a pressure-reducing means is inserted between the heat exchanger and the reactor.
