Abstract
1435009 Self-cleaning ovens COMPAGNIE EUROPEENNE POUR L'EQUIPMENT MENAGER 18 July 1973 [21 July 1972] 34303/73 Heading F4W [Also in Division H5] An oven which may be self-cleaned by pyrolysis comprises an oven chamber defined by an oven liner and a door which is air-tight when closed, an electrical resistance heating element 18 disposed in the oven chamber with terminal portions 20 projecting through respective air inlets 21 in the liner to respective terminals outside the oven chamber, and an air outlet in the top of the liner, whereby air flow through inlets 21 provides heat exchange between portions 20 and the terminals and the air. The inlets 21 are located at the base of the rear wall of the liner opposite the oven door. The exterior walls 25 of the oven are air cooled. The heating element 18 is mounted in supports 29 which are connected by pivot pins 31 to mountings 30 secured to the rear wall of the liner, so that the element 18 may be raised slightly for cleaning purposes.
