Abstract

1483802 Cooling cooker stove housings LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 22 Oct 1974 [23 Oct 1973] 45676/74 Heading F4W A cooker stove comprises an oven 2, a switch space 4 above the oven 2, a fan 3 for drawing cooling air into the stove housing 1 through an inlet channel underneath the oven 2 and for expelling the air through a channel 10 between the oven 2 and the space 4, and a grip element 8 secured to the oven door 6 but spaced therefrom to define a gap 14, wherein, with the door 6 in its closed position, the grip element 8 lies between the door 6 and the space 4 and the gap 14 is in communication with the suction side of the fan 3 via a passage 15, whereby the grip element 8 is cooled. The grip element 8 is the central region of a plastics strip 7 having openings (9, 9<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2) on either side of the element 8, which openings communicate with the channel 10 for outlet of air therefrom when the door 6 is in its closed position. A deflector 11 in the channel 10 diverts airflow therethrough away from the rear side of the grip element 8 towards the openings (9, 9<SP>1</SP>).
