Abstract
1434780 Loading dock K T L ROSENGREN 28 Dec 1973 [16 Feb 1973] 60068/73 Heading B8E A loading dock 1 has a bridge plate 7 pivotally mounted at 4 on a frame 2 movable by rollers 18-20 along horizontal rails 16, 17 on the front of the loading yard 21. The plate is raised and lowered by a ram 10 and a shield 12 protects the frame 2 when the plate 7 is in a raised idle position. To prevent damage to the rails 16, 17 beams 22 are faced at 23 so that the front side 23a prevents a vehicle backing into the rails. In a modification Fig. 2, a concrete yard 27 has a profiled member 28 secured in it by stay wires 29 to which the rails 16, 17 are secured aided by a bolt 30 while a square member 32 provides a protective stop surface 32a to protect the rails 16, 17 from a backing vehicle.
