Abstract

1434102 Feeding webs MITA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 18 July 1973 [20 July 1972 21 Oct 1972] 34261/73 Heading B8R [Also in Division G2] A device for removing curl from a web comprises two segmented rollers 15 and 15<SP>1</SP> forming nips n 1 and n 2 with a small diameter roller 16. The web passes through nip n 1 and is deflected by guide fingers 18 (arranged between the segments of both rollers 15 and 15<SP>1</SP>) into the nip n 2 . Either or both of rollers 15 and 15<SP>1</SP> and the roller 16 are positively driven.
