Abstract

1,270,486. Feeding webs. IWATSU ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 16 Sept., 1970 [9 April, 1970 (2); 13 April, 1970], No. 44191/70. Heading B8R. In an electro-photographic copying apparatus the copy paper is fed from a supply roll 24 to a device 45 for cutting the paper into sheets, the paper passing under a guide roller 41, over a roller 40 which removes the residual curl from the paper, and between feeding rollers 44, 44<SP>1</SP>; when the roll 24 is exhausted, the passing of the trailing end of the paper from the roller 41 allows the lever 51 of a switch 50 to move into a groove (43), Fig. 4 (not shown), provided in the roller 41, thereby operating a buzzer or warning lamp. The roll 24 is mounted on a shaft 25 provided with retaining flanges one of which is quickly-detachable (Figs. 5 to 8, not shown).
