Abstract

1432981 Linkage BADGER SYSTEMS Ltd 21 Jan 1974 [19 Feb 1973] 8126/73 Heading A1P A supporting linkage for a mole plough 22 comprises a pair of interconnected supporting members 12 and 14 moveable in a vertical plane and constraining means for controlling the relative movement of the supporting members which comprises tracks 25 and 26 in each of the members 12 and 14 respectively and at least one cooperating roller 29 constrained to engage and follow each of the tracks during relative vertical movements of the members. Support member 14 comprises a pair of spaced vertical plates 24 between which support member 12 is disposed so that the tracks overlie each other permitting the roller 29 to engage in the space therebetween. Figure 7 shows two sets of tracks and two following rollers 29 and 30, are provided in order to give an effective hitch point in advance of the actual hitch point to apply the system of forces of Figure 4 (not shown) to the towing vehicle to which support member 12 is attached by draft links 18 and 20 constituting a parallel motion support linkage which may be provided with a ram extending diagonally thereof to permit variation in the height of the first support member and a grading action for the plough.
