Abstract

1432836 Caps for bottles EMBALLAGES COURONNE SA 11 May 1973 [12 May 1972] 22692/73 Addition to 1312206 Heading B8T A tamper-indicating thin metallic cap has at least one bridge 6 wider than the remaining bridges 4 and providing a zone where the ring 2 remains attached to the cap after opening, a slot 5 being formed in the ring 2 at a position diametrically opposite the attachment zone and close to one of the bridges 4, the slot 5 stopping short of the upper and lower edges of the ring. In a modification the bridge (7), Fig. 4 (not shown) adjacent the slot 5 is of a width intermediate that of the bridge 6 and each of the other bridges 4. The slot 5 may be oblique. Threads (13), Fig. 5 (not shown), may be formed in the cap during closure.
