Abstract

1432586 Linking machines EXACTA SpA 30 May 1973 [3 Oct 1972] 25808/73 Heading D1G A device for loading knitted articles on to the pins of linking machine comprises a pair of clamping members 1, 2 which form arcuate clamping surfaces having the same curvature as the circle of pins on the linking machine, one of the clamping members, 1, being pivotable to open and close the jaws and the clamping members being movable radially of circle of pins. As shown in Fig. 2 the clamping member 1 is pivoted at 7 and is moved by a rod 17 against the action of a spring 8, the whole assembly being slidable along a bar 13 radially of the needle circle by motor 14 through gearing 16. In a modification the jaws may be opened by means of a cam.
