Abstract

1432461 Fluid regulation REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT AND AUTOMOBILES PEUGEOT 25 May 1973 [29 May 1972] 25261/73 Heading G3H [Also in Division F1] The mean pressure in a container 4, is controlled by its being connected to a source of periodically varying gas-pressure by a conduit 7 which has different pressure loss coefficients for flow therethrough in opposite directions. The conduit 7 has asymmetric venturis 8, 9 or has sections of progressively greater diameter (11a), (11b), (11c) (11), Fig. 2 (not shown) and may be connected direct to the air cleaner 3 or air inlet of an I.C. engine. The conduit 7 may be arranged to make the mean pressure in the float chamber higher or lower than the mean pressure in the air cleaner, &c. or air inlet.
