1431993 Chimney cowls AMGAS BV 7 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 21609/73 Heading F4J A chimney cowl comprises a duct 1, a concentric cylindrical casing 2, a flat ring 4 secured to the duct and a flat cover 3 spaced from the casing, the casing, ring and cover being interconnected by supports 5 and having diameters of relatively increasing size, the relation between each of the internal diameter D of the casing, its height H and the height h of the upper edge of the duct 1 above the ring 4 with respect to the internal diameter d of the duct 1 being D : d= 1À9; H : d=0À55 and h : d=0À23. The distance between the casing and the cover and between the casing and the ring are approximately equal. Welded to the duct 1 is an outer pipe section 6 formed with a groove 9 and with lips 7 facilitating engagement with a flue pipe.
