Abstract

The chimney consists of an external supporting wall and an internal flue. In the annular air chamber between the two, the external tubular wall has a series of supporting rings at intervals for its entire height (5). On these there rest, via a sealing joint of thermally insulating material (6) rings integral (7) with the tubular flue. Studs (9) are spaced round the supporting ring peripheries, and fit through openings in the rings of the flue. The latter can be assembled from tubular sections with overlapping joints, with a sealing joint between of thermally insulating material. The openings for the stubs can be in the form of elongated holes.
