1431890 Drying textiles SAMUEL PEGG & SON Ltd 1 Oct 1973 [30 Sept 1972] 45218/72 Heading D1L In a textile treating process the textile which is saturated with a heated liquid is cooled by evaporation by passing over the textile, during at least part of the cooling, a heated gas flow which is maintained during its passage over the textile at a temperature higher than that of the textile whilst the latter is maintained saturated. The textile is preferably made of synthetic resin fibres and the temperature of the gas maintained above the second order transition temperature of the resin. Apparatus in which the process may be carried out is described, this apparatus being identical with that described in Specification 1332727 (Figs. 1 and 2 thereof) to which reference is made in this Specification.
