1431217 Automatic control KAWASAKI JUKOGYO KK 13 June 1973 [26 June 1972] 28228/73 Heading G3N In a program control system for a plurality of machines 40-1 to 40-n, a memory 10 is divided into three sections, a first section 11 storing the routines forming the operation sequence, a second 12 storing the steps making up the routines and a third storing parameter information for each step. A routine stored in memory 12 may be used more than once in a sequence and the third memory enables the same routine to be performed with different parameter information at different times. A further memory 20 is provided comprising a routine number register 21 and a step number register 22 which together may be the first step of the next routine. The information stored in the memory 10 is read by control section 30 and used to control the machines from which signals are fed back to indicate when a step in completed so that the program can be advanced another step.
