Abstract
1431094 Toothed gearing TAKACHIHO KOEKI KK 17 April 1973 [18 April 1972] 18428/73 Heading F2Q [Also in Division H1] A mechanism for adjusting the position of a member 8, such as a focusing coil, or a deflection coil in a cathode-ray tube, comprises a control shaft 19 carried by a frame 12 and driving shafts 19a, 19b carrying pinions 11, 11a which mesh gear pieces 10, 10a on diametrically opposed sides of the member 8. Rotation of control shaft 19 effects angular movement of member 8 about axis A. Rotation of a control shaft 13 effects movement of member 8 along the axis A through racks 14, 14a on members 19d, 19c which carry trunnion shafts 9, 9a of the member 8. Tilting of the member 8 about an axis perpendicular to axis A is effected by rotation of a control shaft 17 carrying a pinion 17a meshing a gear 18 on the member 8. Movement of the member 8 transversely of the axis A is effected by rotation of a control shaft 16 carrying a pinion 16a meshing a gear 9a1 secured to trunnion shaft 9a which has a screw-threaded mounting. In a modification, worm gearing is employed.
