Abstract

1430769 Two-part coupling KBL ENG (STAPLEFORD) Ltd 25 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 49561/72 Heading H2E Connection between tape cable 8 and rigid circuit board 9 is made in insulating body 1, the cable being fed through slot 4, behind bar 5, back under resilient fingers 10a of clip 10, and out through slot 3. Inner faces of cable 8 conductors are bared to contact circuit elements on upper face of board 9 under pressure from fingers 10a, each acting on one or more conductors. Clip 10 of spring steel has end cheeks (Fig. 5, not shown) bearing detents latching into the ends of body 1; clip 10 may be replaced by one of resilient plastics (13, Fig. 6, not shown), or by a springy bar (14, Fig. 10, not shown) integral with body 1, in the approximate position of bar 2 and the curve of fingers 10a, the cable after bar 5 now being passed under the integral bar and forward again through the slot (15) above this bar.
