1430741 Partition wall; variable room units COMPAGNIE GENERALE D'AUTOMATISME 8 Jan 1974 00865/74 Headings E1A and E1W A room is divided by a portion wall 5 which is tapered from the top to the bottom and suspended from the ceiling of the room so as to extend between opposite walls 3, 4 to be pivoted as a whole about its upper edge and to be readily movable perpendicular to its own plane along the room. The partition wall may comprise a single panel or it may have a telescoping lower portion 27 or have a lower portion hinged to the upper about a horizontal axis. The side walls of the room may be inclined corresponding to the taper of the partition or they may be provided with spaced inclined portions 20. The panel may be hung in longitudinally extending channels 6 in a suspended ceiling and may be sealed at the top with an inflatable seal (not shown) and at the bottom and side edges with a resilient strip.
