1430670 Counting apparatus TAKACHIHO KOHEKI KK 8 Nov 1973 51998/73 Heading G4D A calculator for determining the state of a living body's rhythms comprises means 1 for introducing a date of birth and a current date; a pulse generator 4 arranged to deliver a number of pulses equal to the number of days between the said dates; a scale of 23 counter, a scale of 28 counter and a scale of 33 counter all connected to count the pulses from the generator 4; and means giving outputs representing the remainder counts in the three counters at the end of counting. It is asserted that the living body has a physical rhythm with a period of 23 days, a rhythm of sentiment with a period of 28 days and a rhythm of intellect with a period of 33 days and the calculator is used to determine the current relative phase of the three rhythms. Also described (Fig. 2) is a device for displaying the rhythms and consisting of three pens 9-12, 9-13, 9-14 which trace sine waves of the three periods. The pens are driven through cam arrangements 9-9, 9-10, 9-11 and gears by a motor 9-8. To set the device the gears are disengaged and solenoids 9-16, 9-17, 9-18 are used to step the cams to positions determined by the final counts in the three counters 5, 6, 7. Means is provided for zeroizing the counters 5, 6, 7 and the cams before a run.
