Abstract

1430630 Suspended furnace roofs SKODA NARODNI PODNIK 13 July 1973 [13 July 1972] 33638/73 Heading F4B A suspension device for an anchoring block 4 engaging a monolithic furnace lining to secure it to a roof beam 3 comprises a flat steel carrier plate 2 welded to the beam 3 and a pair of suspension arms 1 of substantially rectangular shape with a gap on one side, said arms being arranged crossways about the carrier plate 2 and a recess 5 in the head 6 of the block. The profile of the arms 1 may be circular or rectangular in cross-section. The plate 2 may be recessed at diagonally opposite corners to a depth (d) accommodating the arms 1 on opposite sides may be sloped in parallel or that at the points of contact of the said arms the opposite sides are displaced by a similar depth (Figs. 5 and 6). The sides of the arms may be arcuate or one side may be formed with an arc of a similar depth (d) (Figs. 7 and 8).
