1430475 Piezoelectric ceramics ROSTOV ORDENA TRUDOV KRASNO ZNAME GOZUDARSTVEN UNIVERSITET 28 March 1973 14864/73 Heading C1J A piezoelectric ceramic comprises, in molar proportions: (1) PbTiO 3 30-52À5; (2) PbZrO 3 25-47À6; (3) PbB<SP>I</SP> 1-α B<SP>II</SP>αO 3 1À5-28À4; and (4) PbB<SP>III</SP> 1-α B<SP>IV</SP> α O 3 2À3-29À4. B<SP>I</SP> and B<SP>III</SP> are Nb or W and B<SP>II</SP> and B<SP>IV</SP> are Zn, Mg, Co, Mn and Ni provided that (3) and (4) are different and when B<SP>I</SP> and B<SP>II</SP> are Nb and B<SP>II</SP> is Ni, B<SP>IV</SP> is not Zn or Mn; or when B<SP>I</SP> and B<SP>III</SP> are Ni and B<SP>II</SP> is Mig B<SP>IV</SP> is not Mn; α being ¢ for W and <SP>1</SP>/ 3 for Nb. Modifying oxides, e.g. MnO 2 , CoO, Fe 2 O 3 , can also be present.
