Abstract

1430455 Diphenyl methane diisocyanate compositions IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 Jan 1974 [29 Jan 1973] 4386/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises a diphenylmethane diisocyanate composition comprising diphenylmethane diisocyanate in which from 10 to 35% of the isocyanate groups have been reacted with a mixture of a polyethylene glycol, or a mixture thereof of average molecular weight below 650, and at least one alkylene glycol having at least three carbon atoms. The molar ratio of polyethylene glycol to alkylene glycol in the mixture used is preferably from 10 : 1 to 1 : 10. The composition may further contain stabilizers, e.g. benzoyl chloride, adipic acid, phosphoric acid or antioxidants.
