Abstract

1428523 Scavenging vessel CHERNOMORS TSENTRAL PROEKT KONSTRUKT BJURO 8 May 1973 21771/73 Headings B7A and B7V A water-jet propelled scavenging vessel comprises a collecting receptacle 1 and a duct 5 having an intake 6 below the inflow 4 into the collecting receptacle. The intake feeds water to impeller 2 which ensures movement of the scavenging vessel and induces the upper layer of water with floating garbage and oil into the collecting receptacle. The duct is in fluid communication with the receptacle in order to maintain a predetermined level of fluid in the receptacle. Shutter 18 in the after part of the duct acts as a throttle to control the intensity of drawing off water through ejection passage 8.
