Abstract

1428328 Sheet forming E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 19 Feb 1974 [20 Feb 1973] 7505/74 Heading B5A A thermoforming mould for making tray-like objects in polyethylene terephthalate comprises a wall member 11 and a bottom member 12 to define a cavity 21 and a vent of between 25 to 75 microns wide is formed as a clearance between the members 11 and 12. The vent can be connected to vacuum or atmosphere. Fine radial grooves can also be formed on the surfaces 16 of the member 12.
