Abstract

1428319 Clamps DAIMLER-BENZ AG 16 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 21820/74 Heading E2B A clamp for securing a fire extinguisher 1 to a support 2 comprises a toggle action locking lever 8 provided with a supporting bow 7 and operatively connected with a clamping bow 9 which, engages a hook 10 of the support 2 and a spring 16 mounted on the lever 8. The arrangement is such that, operation of the locking lever 8 urges the clamping bow 9 into the hook 10 and the spring 16 co-operates with the clamping bow 9 in an intermediate position of the lever 8 to hold the clamp in. an intermediate clamping position. The clamping bow in the spring holding position co-operates with slots 18 in the lever 8 and the spring 16 acts on bent free ends 17 of the clamping bow. In the same position a bent portion 13 of the supporting bow co-operates with abutment faces, 14 of the lever 8.
