Abstract

1413925 Clamps DAIMLER-BENZ AG 26 April 1974 [16 May 1973] 18412/74 Heading E2B A clamping device comprises a fixed mounting 14, e.g. on an engine compartment cover plate 1, a clamping lever 13 pivotably supported by a pin 15 in the mounting, a screwthreaded bolt 9 rotatable, by a knob 7, in the mounting, and a pin-and-slot connection 11, 12 between the bolt and the lever, rotation of the bolt causing the lever to move between released and engaged conditions thereof. As shown, the bolt is engaged in an axially movable block 10 which carries the pin 12, and the lever is U-shaped. In a modification, the pin 12 is carried by a component connected rotatably to the bolt but held axially in relation thereto the bolt engaging a screw-thread in the mounting.
