Abstract

1428191 Ejectors S R C LABORATORIES Inc 14 March 1973 [14 March 1972] 12296/73 Heading F1E [Also in Division F4] An air blast nozzle comprises a handle 11 including a valve 17 controlling flow of highpressure air to an ejector 10 drawing air in at 28 and discharging it at 30. Air passes from an annular chamber 23 to a slit nozzle 26 the width of which is controlled by a spacer 36. In a modification, Fig. 5, the spacer 37 breaks the slit into an annular series of slits. The bore 25 is restricted at 29 and an outlet slit 31 (or series of holes) provides an air curtain to shield an operator from air borne particles. A member 12 shields the operator from blast should the outlet 30 be blocked.
