Abstract
1426695 Absorption of chlorinated cyanuric acids FMC CORP 9 April 1974 [16 April 1973] 15610/74 Heading ClC Waste liquors are treated to remove dissolved cyanurates by contacting such liquors, containing 0À2 to 3% by wt. of cyanurates, with an activated carbon having a surface area of 1000-1400 sq. metres per g. and a U.S. sieve series mesh size of from - 325 to + 40, to remove a major portion of the cyanurates. The active carbon may be used as a slurry. A pH below 7 is desirable and a preferred mesh size is 20-40. The temperature is preferably ambient.
