Abstract
1426665 Crimpable connector THOMAS & BETTS CORP 1 July 1974 [10 July 1973] 29034/74 Heading H2E A crimpable connector 20 has two pairs of side walls 26, 28 one pair 26 being folded to give a compartment 32 smaller than compartment 34 so that different sized wires 44, 44<SP>1</SP>, 46 may be accommodated. A stepped die set is used to crimp the side walls. Wires of square or rectangular cross-section may be accommodated by suitably shaped side walls while insulation or oxide piercing spikes may be provided in the connector (Fig. 6, not shown). In another embodiment both pairs of side walls are folded to give portions parallel to the base (Fig. 7, not shown).
