Abstract
1426516 Dispersion hardened alloy INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd 15 May 1973 [17 May 1972 27 April 1973] 23102/73 Heading C7A the balance, apart from impurities, being Ni in an amount of at least 25%, wherein the Fe content does not exceed 37% when the Cr content exceeds 13% and is dispersion-strengthened with at least 0.2% by volume of a refractory oxide dispersoid (e.g. oxide of La, Y, Ce, Th, Al or Mg) with an average particle size of 5-500 millimicrons. The alloy may be prepared by powder metallurgy from mechanically alloyed powders. Reference is made to the possible inclusion of up to 0.15% N, incidental amounts of Mu, Co, Mo, W and Ta, and impurity amounts of S, P and Cu (e.g. up to 0.5%).
