Abstract

142,605. Ryner, A., and Wilson, W. B. March 17, 1919. Laminar springs. - Front-wheel suspension springs for road vehicles are arranged with the ends of the springs pivoted in bifurcated blocks c which move as pistons in cylinder casings e. Thecasings have internal collars f and are closed at the rear by dust-caps m. The pistons have stem extensions g. At the front end of the spring, the stem passes through a bushing in the collar and carries a resilient or other washer between the piston and collar. At the rear end of the spring, the stem is more extended and carries a helical or other spring behind the collar.
