Abstract

1425776 Image pick-up tube ENGLISH ELECTRIC VALVE CO Ltd 14 Aug 1974 [6 Oct 1973] 46785/73 Heading HID In a vidicon or image orthicon tube, in which a fine conductive mesh 4 is held between rings 5, 6 as described in Specification 1,425,353 the mesh is isolated from vibration transmitted through the electrode structure by attaching, the mounting assembly, spot welded at its periphery 7, to flange 12 of a fixed cylindrical member 11 by means of three resilient U-shaped elements 14, each fastened at one end to member 11 and at the other spot welded to an L-shaped carrier member 13. The three equispaced members 13 are attached by their short ends to the mesh mounting ring 6 and each rests with the inner angle of the L in frictional contact with the edge of flange 12. In the embodiment the assembly is fitted to a vidicon tube (Fig. 1 not shown).
