Abstract

1424180 Making contacts CANNON ELECTRIC (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 30 July 1974 33575/74 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] An electrical contact consisting of a contact portion 21 and a wire-wrap or solder tail portion 22 is crimped, around an intermediate neck portion, into a clip 3 mounted on a bandolier 1. The contact may be crimped either tail or contact uppermost to allow front or rear insertion into a housing where a tang (not shown) on the rear of clip 3 locates the assembly. The contact may be made of phosphor bronze and the contact portion may be gold plated and/or the tail tinned before severance from the bandolier.
