Abstract

1423581 Vacuum switches WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 16 April 1973 [3 May 1972] 18228/73 Heading H1N The mirror image contacts of a vacuum switch each comprise a substantially cup shaped body with inturned lip which is divided to will be perpendicular to an arc between provide contact ends in which the current, the contacts and the magnetic forces produced will move the arc inward as it is rotated. Fig. 4 shows a slotted contact whilst Fig. 6 shows a contact formed with arms 64. The actual contact members 76 (Fig. 13) may be welded or brazed to a disc-shaped part 72.
