Abstract

1423100 Conveyers RALFS GmbH 7 March 1974 [29 March 1973] 10256/74 Heading B8A A conveyer comprises supports 16 carried by an endless chain 13 having an ascent path 1 and a descent path 5 separated by a sprocket 20, containers 2 carried by the supports 16 being engaged in a cover 3 which moves with the container 2 during transfer from the path 1 to the path 5, so as to maintain the containers upright, the cover returning to a position adjacent the path 1 on completion of transfers. Guides 21 for the containers are positioned along the paths 1 and 5. As shown the cover 3 is pivotally suspended from a carriage 31 movable along a guide bar 4 pivoted at 6, the carriage returning to a position adjacent the path 1 by gravity. In Fig. 2, not shown, the carriage is returned to the path 1 by a weight or spring.
