Abstract
1421617 Venetian blind H GROSS 5 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 26862/73 Heading E1J A venetian blind includes an electric motor 2 controlled by first and second limit switches corresponding respectively to the blind's lowered and raised positions, a reduction gearing 3 coupled though a slipping coupling 13 to a rotatable shaft 15 operating the winding and tilting mechanism, and an actuating member connected to the shaft being arranged to actuate at least the first limit switch 22 or 40. The actuating member may be a non-rotatable nut 17 or 36 in threaded engagement with the shaft 15. The second limit switch may also be operated by the nut 17, Figure 1, or may comprise a switch 44 operable by the top slat of the blind. The first switch may be actuable by a projection on the nut 36 acting on a pivotal lever 38 in turn acting on the switch 40. Alternatively, the switch actuating member may engage the outer surfaces of two co-axial discs rotating at different speeds, each disc having a notch so that, when the notches are aligned, the member engages therein to activate the switch. The switches may be mounted in a separate housing 30 connectible to the motor housing. The blind is for mounting in a double-glazed window.
