Abstract

1,192,757. Motor driving arrangements. H. GROSS. 5 Oct., 1967 [7 Oct., 1966], No. 45515/67. Heading H2A. [Also in Division H1] A shaft 12 driven from an electric motor 10 through a shaft 21 and reduction gearing 11 drives a roller or Venetian blind and is connected to one end of a control shaft 20 passing through a bore in the motor shaft 21, the other end of shaft 20 mounting a pinion 22 driving a rotary switch operating device 13 to operate limit switches 16, 17. The unit shown in Fig. 1 is mounted in the roller of a roller blind (Fig. 2) or in the U-section heading of a Venetian blind (Fig. 3). Pinion 22 meshes with pinions 29, 30, 31 with different numbers of teeth so as to be driven at different speeds, pinion 29 driving a plate 28 through a shaft 32, pinion 31 driving a plate 23 through a shaft 34, and pinion 30 driving plates 24, 27 through a shaft 33. The plates have notches 25, 26 which are so arranged that when the notches on an adjacent pair of plates are both aligned with a pin 14 or 15 of respective limit switches 16, 17, they allow the pin 14 or 15 to lower. The switches 16, 17 switch off the motor when the blind reaches respective end positions. These positions can be adjusted by manually rotating the plates 23, 24, 27, 28, which are accessible through a hole in the housing, and fixed by screws 39. For the control of a single limit switch (Fig. 6), pinion 22 meshes with two pinions (35, 36) driving two plates (24, 23) through two shafts (38, 37).
