Abstract

1425055 Venetian blind H GROSS 6 June 1973 [6 July 1972] 27042/73 Heading E1J First and second limit switches 4, 5 corresponding respectively to the raised and lowered positions of a venetian blind are mounted in a motor housing 6, the switch buttons 19, 15 being spring-loaded to the "on" and "off" positions respectively, and the switch actuating members comprise a vertically movable pin 10 arranged to be moved by the uppermost slat 20 to switch off switch button 19, the pin 10 acting as a pivot for a lever 16 having a member 14 which, during lowering of the blind, maintains switch button 15 depressed, the spring action of the button 15 urging the lever 16 against the blind's lift cord 18 and the tension in the cord 18 (produced by the weight of the slats) prevents the lever from pivoting until the bottom slat touches e.g. a window sill to relieve the tension in the cord. The member 14 is a lever which has an extension 22 vertically movable with the pin 10 to operate button 19.
